The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving financial efficiency, regulatory compliance, and strategic decision-making within a rapidly evolving industry.
Responsibilities
Prepare and oversee financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
Ensure compliance with SARS regulations, including VAT and corporate tax.
Oversee audits and adherence to pharmaceutical financial regulations.
Develop financial strategies aligned with long-term corporate objectives.
Lead resource allocation and cost optimization efforts.
Analyze production and distribution costs for efficiency improvements.
Mentor and manage the finance team to drive performance.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and suppliers.
Support financial decision-making for new products or acquisitions.
Leverage financial software to enhance reporting and analysis.
Promote innovation in financial processes and systems.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA preferred.
CA(SA) or CIMA qualification advantageous.
57 years experience in senior financial roles, ideally in pharmaceuticals.
Expertise in cost accounting and financial planning.
Strong knowledge of South African tax laws and regulations.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
High ethical standards and attention to detail.

Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the financial operations of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Ensure accurate and timely financial statements and reports in compliance with IFRS and GAAP standards.
Manage banking relationships and handle statutory compliance including VAT, Income Tax, Royalty, etc.
Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment.
Coordinate and prepare annual business plans and executive reports.
Handle audit processes, including drafting and reviewing financial statements and coordinating with external auditors.
Implement and maintain internal controls and financial systems.
Requirements
Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost Accountant Degree.
Certification in Pastel/SAGE or VIP Payroll/SAGE is advantageous.
Minimum of 10 years experience in a finance role, with at least 5 years in a mining environment highly desirable.

Job Summary: The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the organization, ensuring the effective management of financial resources, and providing strategic financial advice to support the achievement of business goals. This role requires strong financial management skills, a solid understanding of the FMCG industry, and the ability to lead a finance team effectively.
Responsibilities:
1. Financial Planning and Analysis: – Develop and monitor financial budgets, forecasts, and business plans. – Provide accurate and timely financial analysis and reports to management. – Identify key financial risks and opportunities and develop strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities. – Monitor financial performance against set targets and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
2. Financial Operations: – Oversee day-to-day operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger. – Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies. – Manage the cash flow and treasury functions, ensuring adequate liquidity and optimizing working capital. – Conduct regular financial audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.

Strategic Financial Advice: – Provide strategic financial advice to senior management to support decision-making process. – Conduct financial analysis of investment opportunities and recommend favorable business strategies. – Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate cost-saving initiatives. – Advise on pricing strategies, product profitability, and cost allocation.
4. Team Management: – Lead and motivate the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. – Provide coaching and professional development opportunities to team members. – Set clear performance objectives and conduct regular performance reviews. – Ensure adequate staffing levels and manage resource allocation effectively.
Requirements:
– Bachelor`s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. – Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in finance, preferably in the FMCG industry. – In-depth knowledge of financial principles, accounting regulations, and financial reporting standards. – Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. – Proficiency in financial management systems and tools. – Excellent leadership and team management abilities. – Strong communication and interpersonal skills. – Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
