About the Role
Our client, a well-established estate based in the Addo region of the Eastern Cape, is seeking an experienced Farm Manager to oversee all aspects of their citrus farm operations. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in farm management and be passionate about agriculture.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement operational plans to achieve production targets.
- Oversee daily farm activities, including resource allocation, crop production, and maintenance.
- Manage budgets, procurement, and cost controls to optimise financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with agricultural best practices, quality standards, ethical practices and industry regulations.
- Lead and develop farm staff, ensuring efficiency, motivation, and adherence to policies.
- Monitor risk management, safety, and sustainability initiatives.
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Agriculture, or a related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of farm management experience, preferably in citrus or fruit production.
- Strong knowledge of cultivation and management, financial management, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
