About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Tyre Foreman to join their team in Akasia, responsible for overseeing all tyre-related operations within the workshop, ensuring optimal tyre performance, and contributing to the reliability and safety of the fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and supervise tyre inspections, repairs, retreading, rotations, balancing, and replacements.
- Ensure correct tyre pressure, alignment, and fitment according to manufacturer and company standards.
- Diagnose tyre wear patterns and identify underlying mechanical issues.
- Approve tyres fit for service and remove unsafe tyres from operation.
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Certificate or relevant training in tyre maintenance (preferred)
- Minimum 35 years experience in tyre fitting/maintenance for heavy-duty vehicles
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Experience with commercial truck tyres
