Location: Alrode, Alberton
Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our client’s team as a Sales Accountant in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry. The Sales Accountant will be responsible for managing sales transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and analyzing sales data to support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and maintain sales revenue reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
2. Reconcile sales data with financial statements to ensure accuracy and integrity of information.
3. Collaborate with sales teams to analyze sales trends, identify opportunities for growth, and develop strategies to increase revenue.
4. Prepare sales forecasts and budgets to support financial planning and decision-making processes.
5. Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to sales performance, including customer accounts, product profitability, and sales margins.
6. Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements and audit requests related to sales transactions.
7. Support sales team in processing invoices, credit notes, and other financial transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
8. Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
9. Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management on sales performance and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
– Minimum of 3-5 years experience in accounting, preferably with a focus on sales or revenue accounting in the FMCG industry.
– Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
– Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
