About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our client’s team as a Sales Accountant in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry. The Sales Accountant will be responsible for managing sales transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and analyzing sales data to support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sales revenue reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Reconcile sales data with financial statements to ensure accuracy and integrity of information.
- Collaborate with sales teams to analyze sales trends, identify opportunities for growth, and develop strategies to increase revenue.
- Prepare sales forecasts and budgets to support financial planning and decision-making processes.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to sales performance, including customer accounts, product profitability, and sales margins.
- Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements and audit requests related to sales transactions.
- Support sales team in processing invoices, credit notes, and other financial transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management on sales performance and strategic initiatives.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
