Job Summary
You will report directly to the head of the business. Your main responsibilities will include negotiating prices with transport subcontractors and negotiating prices for empty depots. Previous experience with price negotiation in a logistics environment is therefore absolutely essential. Your responsibilities will include: Negotiation, agreement, and monitoring of adherence to agreed rates, whilst ensuring profitable choices executed by transport operations team: Negotiation Planning Transport Base Rate Determination Plug Point and Weighbridge Base Rate Determination Monthly Adjustments Rate Updates Carrier Haulage Market our clients services and develop solutions for client requirements New Business Development New Solution Development Spot Rate / Quotes Ensure transportation, empty depots (including plug-in and weighbridge operations) subcontractors adhere to provisions set out in SLA and are performing to agreed service level standards Service Level Agreements Service Level Agreements Updates Subcontractor Performance Subcontractor Registers Subcontractor Insurance Subcontractor Equipment Credit Agreements Subcontractor Meetings Always ensuring adequate available subcontractor capacity in all major areas to meet demand Ensure Adequate Capacity Procurement Strategy Subcontractor Planning Guidelines Manage your team Budget, Recruitment, Development, Leadership, Performance, Tools, Productivity, Support, Reporting
