About the Role
The Central University of Technology, Free State is seeking a permanent lecturer in Design and Studio Art to join our Bloemfontein Campus Faculty of Humanities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing academic material, teaching, and assessing students in allocated subjects, as well as executing community projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop academic material and lecture in allocated subjects for own and other programmes
- Execute appropriate community projects
- Teach, learn, and assess students
- Student evaluation
- Research
- Administration
- Control and organisation
- Community service
Requirements
- A relevant Masters-level degree (i.e., MA / M. Tech / MSc / NQF 9 or equivalent) in Fashion Design or a related field
- At least two years teaching/lecturing/industry experience relevant to the subject field
- A portfolio showcasing design skills and professional accomplishments

Salary & Benefits
Minimum salary scale: R 777 297 per annum (2026 salary scales to be determined).
