Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced and commercially driven Area Business Manager to join a dynamic and growing organisation within the dealer sales environment.
This role is responsible for managing dealer relationships, driving sales performance, and implementing growth strategies across a designated territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop dealer relationships to achieve sales targets and growth objectives
- Drive sales performance across product categories with a strong commercial focus
- Conduct regular business reviews and performance tracking with key dealers
- Gather market intelligence and monitor competitor activity
- Identify new business opportunities while strengthening existing partnerships
- Implement sales strategies and contribute to broader business objectives
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, to support dealer initiatives
- Ensure accurate reporting and maintain high levels of product knowledge
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Minimum 5 years experience in a sales environment with a dealer/distribution model
- Valid drivers licence
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory
Preferred
- Tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing, or related field
- Experience within technical or equipment-based industries

- Highly organised with strong planning ability
- Results-driven with a proactive approach
- Strong attention to detail and reporting ability
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
Additional Requirements
- Ability to travel (up to 50%)
- Flexibility to work weekends when required (e.g. events/trade shows)
