About the Role
Route Management is seeking a Trainee Accountant to join our team in Bloemfontein. As a Trainee Accountant, you will play a vital role in supporting the accounting function and contributing to the success of our organization. You will be responsible for performing various tasks, including daily business banking, bank account reconciliation, debtors processing, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily business banking including the compiling of payments.
- Processing and reconciliation of bank accounts.
- Debtors processing, recons, and collection.
- Compiling of VAT and related tax returns.
- Monthly financial reports.
- Yearly compiling of audit file.
- Resolving municipal queries via correspondence and travelling.
- General administrative duties.
- Liaison with legal department.
Requirements
- B Com Accounting degree or studying towards a relevant formal qualification.
- Computer and related software abilities (Excel, Pastel).
- Good communicator, bilingual and team player.
- Ability to perform under pressure.
- Ability to work neatly, accurate and in organized manner.
- Strong administrative skills, be able to solve various challenges that may occur and be deadline driven.
