About the Role
Tsebo Catering Solutions is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen operation at one of our mining sites in Limpopo. We are looking for a passionate and innovative chef who can deliver high-quality meals in a remote environment, while upholding our values of service excellence, safety, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full kitchen operation on-site.
- Plan, prepare, and oversee the delivery of high-quality meals for large groups.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety regulations, and Tsebo quality standards.
- Manage stock levels, ordering, and cost control.
- Train, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff.
- Develop menus tailored to client and site needs.
- Maintain excellent working relationships with clients, staff, and management.
- Uphold Tsebo’s values of service excellence, safety, and teamwork.
Requirements
- Formal culinary qualification (Trade Test / Diploma in Professional Cookery).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Head Chef, preferably in remote camps, mining, industrial catering, or large-scale food service.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver consistently high standards.
- Solid understanding of nutrition, menu planning, and cost control.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene protocols.
