Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Metallurgist to join our team in a plant environment in Burgersfort, Limpopo. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metallurgy or chemical engineering, with specific experience in chrome plant operations. Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations in the mining industry is essential for this role.
Responsibilities:
– Oversee and manage the metallurgical processes in the plant
– Ensure the quality and efficiency of production operations
– Develop and implement process improvements to optimize performance
– Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement
– Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations
– Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Requirements:
– National Diploma/BSc/BTech in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering
– Relevant Certificate of Competence
– Post Graduate Qualification will be advantageous
– 3-5 years of Chrome Plant experience
– 3-5 years of Metallurgical Experience
– Knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act, Mining Regulations and Mining Legislation
– Physical Requirement of Medical Certificate of Competence
