Job Description

K2 Recruit is partnering with growing client, to appoint a driven Business Development Manager (Hunter) focused on enterprise and mid-market/SME clients.

This role is suited to a new business specialist with a strong track record in building pipeline and closing complex infrastructure deals across networking, server, and storage environments.

Key Responsibilities

New Business Development

  • Own end-to-end sales process from prospecting to close
  • Drive consistent outbound activity (calls, email, social selling, canvassing)
  • Build and convert a strong enterprise/SME pipeline

Solution Selling

  • Identify opportunities across:
    • Campus and branch networking (WiFi, switching)
    • Security-driven upgrades and infrastructure standardisation
    • Server and storage refresh projects
    • Lifecycle replacement and expansion programmes

Stakeholder & Partner Engagement

  • Work with internal teams and partners to:
    • Register deals
    • Optimise pricing and availability
    • Attach value-added services (installation, SLA, support)
  • Represent the business in meetings, presentations, and events

Pipeline & Performance Management

  • Maintain strong CRM discipline and forecasting
  • Ensure margin protection and deal quality
  • Deliver against GP and activity targets

Minimum Requirements

Experience

  • 5+ years experience in networking, server, and storage sales
  • Proven hunter profile with consistent new business wins
  • Strong network within enterprise and/or SME markets
  • Experience managing tenders and complex sales cycles

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong prospecting and pipeline-building ability
  • Analytical and commercially driven
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to translate technical solutions into business value

Advantageous

  • Vendor exposure: Ruckus, Dell, Huawei, Microsoft, H3C, HPE
  • Experience with managed services and SLA-based offerings
  • Experience navigating multi-stakeholder enterprise environments

Working Style
