Job Description

A new automated carwash brand is launching its first pilot site in Cape Town, with plans to scale nationally. We are seeking a highly reliable, operationally strong individual to take full ownership of the site setup, launch, and ongoing daily management. This is ideal for someone who thrives in a startup-style environment and wants to build something from the ground up. Key Responsibilities Pre-Launch (Project Setup) Source and secure suitable premises (high-traffic locations, fuel stations, etc.) Conduct site evaluations and coordinate lease agreements Liaise with equipment suppliers regarding installation and setup Manage utilities, branding, compliance, and operational readiness Assist with launch marketing and local activation Develop operational workflows and maintenance schedules Post-Launch (Operations Management) Oversee day-to-day operations of the automated carwash Monitor stock levels (chemicals & consumables) Ensure site cleanliness and operational efficiency Be available on call for urgent machine troubleshooting Handle customer queries and service recovery Track revenue, expenses, and key performance metrics Submit weekly operational reports Minimum Requirements Proven operations or project management experience Strong organisational and negotiation skills Hands-on problem-solving ability Technically inclined (comfortable troubleshooting equipment) Valid driver’s licence & own reliable transport Comfortable with flexible hours and on-call responsibilities High level of accountability and reliability Ideal Candidate Profile Mature and responsible Entrepreneurial mindset Calm under pressure Comfortable working independently Interested in long-term growth with a scaling business Working Structure Flexible hours based on operational needs Required presence during peak trading times On-call availability required due to pilot-site nature What Makes This Attractive Opportunity to grow into multi-site or regional management Direct involvement in launching a scalable brand Performance-based earning potential High level of ownership and autonomy Application Note Only candidates meeting the minimum requirements will be shortlisted
