About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Planning Intern in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our Merchandise Planning team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the correct stock is in the right place at the right time, driving business growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn how to add value to a retailer by ensuring the correct stock is in the correct place at the correct time.
- Maintain keyline and catalogue availabilities.
- Maintain stores within the maximum stock holding criteria.
- Compile and submit/facilitate the submission of compliant orders within communicated timelines.
- Compile and examine relevant reports.
- Successful execution of promotional inserts.
- Identify obstacles that will deter efficient role fulfillment and implement necessary solutions.
- Ensure all complaints regarding the merchandising function are resolved, including providing sufficient information to direct reports to resolve possible disagreements.
- Collaborate with Franchisees, FDOs, OPS managers to optimise stock allocation efficiency.
- Positively cooperate with wholesale personnel to ensure timeous order submission.
Requirements
Ability to identify obstacles and implement the best solutions.
Excel proficiency – intermediate National Qualifications Framework (NQF) Level 4 national diploma or advance certificate.
Key analytical thinking.
Problem solving skills.
