Cape Town City Centre: QC Inspector Level II

KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION You will have a tertiary qualification as a Level II Welding Inspector (CSWIP 3.1), coupled with 3-5 years experience as a QC Inspector, Sound understanding of fabrication specifications ASME, IX, AWS, etc Sound Understanding of NDE methods and reporting (MT, PT, RT and UT) Sound understanding of fabrication processes such as Welding, cutting, etc Prior experience in oil & gas, riser and drilling equipment operations and specifications You will have proven experience in reading technical drawings, coupled with the abilities to problem solve and provide corrective action solutions You will be able to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally, coupled with the ability to write detailed reports on issues and corrective actions, as well as liaise with suppliers and project managers to ensure the utmost highest quality fabrications. The ability to travel extensively is essential, therefore a valid passport will be required You must have a valid drivers licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record Please note that should you not be currently resident in the region and area advertised but still wish to apply, the cost of travel for interviews and relocation will be for your expense.
