Job Title: Restaurant Manager – Cape Town City Centre
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Restaurant Manager to lead our team in the heart of Cape Town’s city centre. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of running busy restaurants and bars, with excellent leadership and management skills.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring seamless service delivery
Develop and implement effective training programs for staff, including rosters and performance management
Manage and supervise a team of waiters, runners, baristas, cleaners, receptionists, and hostesses
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies
Requirements:
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
At least 2 years of experience in managing busy restaurants or bars
Formal Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field is an advantage
Proven financial management skills and ability to lead teams
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
Strong problem-solving and attention to detail skills
Charismatic leadership style
