Company: Old Mutual Job Title: Sales Agent / Financial Services Sales Agent Department: Sales / Financial Advisory Reports To: Sales Manager / Branch Manager Job Overview The Sales Agent is responsible for marketing and selling financial products and services offered by Old Mutual to individuals and communities. The role involves building and maintaining a client base, identifying customer financial needs, and providing suitable insurance or investment solutions. The Sales Agent is expected to meet sales targets, deliver excellent customer service, and uphold the company’s compliance and ethical standards. Key Responsibilities 1. Sales and Business Development Market and sell Old Mutual financial products such as funeral cover, life insurance, savings plans, and investments. Identify and approach potential clients through networking, referrals, and prospecting. Achieve individual monthly and quarterly sales targets. Develop and implement personal sales plans to meet performance objectives. 2. Client Relationship Management Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients. Understand clients’ financial needs and recommend appropriate financial solutions. Provide professional customer service and respond to client queries or concerns. Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities. 3. Financial Advice and Product Knowledge Educate clients about financial products and services offered by Old Mutual. Stay updated on product features, pricing, and regulatory requirements. Assist clients in completing applications and documentation. 4. Compliance and Administration Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies and financial industry regulations. Complete required documentation accurately and submit reports to management. Maintain confidentiality of client financial information. 5. Continuous Professional Development Participate in training programs to improve sales and financial advisory skills. Keep updated with industry trends and product changes. Attend sales meetings and performance reviews. Minimum Requirements Grade 12 / Matric certificate. Clear criminal and credit record. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and meet sales targets. Financial services or sales experience is advantageous.
