About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our team in Cape Town City Centre, driving data-led decision-making and delivering strategic insight to shape business outcomes. As a key member of our Managed Service Provider, you will translate complex data into actionable insights, playing a crucial role in improving performance visibility and enabling smarter decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of key data domains, contributing to the development of data models, standards, and best practices to support scalable analytics across the business.
  • Apply advanced analytical techniques to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities, proactively identifying insights that drive operational and commercial performance.
  • Design, develop, and optimise Power BI dashboards within the Microsoft Fabric framework, ensuring reporting is scalable, user-focused, and aligned to business priorities.
  • Lead the development of complex T-SQL queries and Python-based data solutions to support advanced analytics, automation, and efficient data processing.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to understand business challenges, translate requirements into analytical solutions, and influence decision-making through data storytelling.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to Junior Analysts, promoting best practices in analytics, data modelling, and reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline data workflows, automate reporting processes, and improve data quality and governance across systems.
  • Champion data accuracy, consistency, and integrity, establishing frameworks to improve trust and reliability in business data.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in Data Analytics or a related role.
  • Advanced experience in Data Visualisation tools such as Power BI (preferred), Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in T-SQL and/or Python for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • Experience working with modern data platforms (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Azure, or similar environments).
  • Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining scalable reporting solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and translating business needs into analytical solutions.
