Job Summary
The Senior Electronic Hardware Engineer will lead the design, development, and testing of LRUs for a leading Defence/Aerospace company. This role requires a strong technical background and experience in electronic circuit simulation and design as well as the ability to lead the LRU development process from preliminary design through to production. Key Responsibilities / Main Job
Duties:
Design, simulate and complete PCB design and routing of Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) according to specifications provided by the Systems Engineer Follow the defined electronic hardware design processes and document design according to hardware design plan Take part in peer reviews of LRUs Lead and mentor Junior Engineers, providing technical guidance and support Collaborate with software, mechanical, DSP, RF and aeronautical teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware LRUs Test and validate hardware designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations (DO-160, MIL-STD-704) Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware design and performance Stay updated with the latest advancements in electronic hardware technologies and apply them to projects Qualifications and/or Professional License(s) and Experience: BEng Electronic, MEng Electronic or similar Minimum 10 years` experience. 15 years and more preferred Experience in the Military and/or Aerospace industry would be advantageous Schematic design, PCB design, simulation of circuits, analysis of circuits, development processes, testing procedures: Altium LTspice or similar Minimum 2 years` experience with High Speed Digital Design (50GbE to 100GbE) Extensive experience in analog, digital and communication electronic hardware designs
