About the Role
A well-established and reputable law firm is seeking an experienced Transfer Secretary with expertise in mortgage-related conveyancing to join their dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage files from inception to registration independently
- Handle mortgage-related transfers (including bond registrations) and liaise with financial institutions
- Draft and prepare transfer documentation, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements
- Familiarize clients, banks, and third parties through effective communication
- Work accurately under pressure, maintaining strong attention to detail
Requirements
- Minimum 35 years experience as a Transfer Secretary within a conveyancing environment
- Proven experience handling mortgage-related transfers
- Strong knowledge of Deeds Office procedures and transfer processes
- Familiarity with FICA compliance and related regulatory processes
- Proficient in relevant conveyancing systems (e.g. Lexis Nexis, GhostPractice or similar) and MS Office
