About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our commercial leadership, you will be responsible for managing the full commercial and contractual function on-site, ensuring profitability, compliance, and accurate financial control across complex civil works.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports
- Measure, value, and certify work done (progress claims & final accounts)
- Administer main contracts and subcontracts
- Manage variations, claims, and disputes
- Oversee procurement of materials and subcontractor services
- Conduct site measurements and progress verifications
- Support tender evaluations and subcontractor appointments
- Provide commercial input into project planning and execution
- Assist with financial close-out and handover documentation
Requirements
- Degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying
- 10 years on-site experience in civil engineering projects (roads, bridges, structures)
- Valid drivers licence and own vehicle
- Willingness to travel to project sites
