About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical BA – Fraud & Risk professional to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in conducting holistic analysis of required risk and fraud solutions, managing implementation of new risk and fraud detection features, and collaborating with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducted holistic analysis of required risk and fraud solutions including source systems and integration requirements
  • Managed implementation of new risk and fraud detection features and functionalities
  • Collaborated with Forensic Analysis team Security CRM system owners Big Data Platform team and other business owners
  • Conducted interviews and workshops to gather stakeholder requirements
  • Documented and analysed business requirements clearly and concisely
  • Developed use cases and user stories to define system functionality
  • Defined integration requirements between systems and fraud platforms including SQL statements and API Swagger OpenAPI specifications
  • Analysed data according to internal data quality metrics
  • Identified and explained data patterns and trends
  • Communicated business requirements to development teams and ensured delivery aligned to specifications
  • Organised facilitated and contributed to user acceptance testing
  • Provided architectural and design input and updated architecture documentation
  • Participated in backlog prioritisation sprint retrospectives and sprint planning
  • Conducted post implementation testing after releases and resolved operational issues
  • Provided support to Security and Privacy by Design Assurance processes
  • Supported incident troubleshooting and drafted change requests where required
  • Presented quarterly priorities at PI grooming and collaborated with teams to deliver priorities
  • Provided progress updates during standups

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years experience as an IT Business Analyst or related role
  • Intermediate to advanced SQL skills advantageous
  • Strong Excel skills Proficient in data analysis and interpretation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and within a team
