About the Role

Our client, a leading Food Manufacturing company based in Cape Town, is seeking a qualified Millwright to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of equipment and machinery in factory settings.

Key Responsibilities

Managing the layout and placement of equipment and machinery in factory settings to ensure minimum downtime
Identifying and repairing problematic parts of a machine by running tests, making temporary repairs, or installing new parts
Assembling/Disassembling and installing machines, then testing them to make sure they are working correctly
Overseeing preventive maintenance by identifying and correcting potential issues
Mechanical aptitude in dealing with wrenches, hammers, forklifts, and other similar tools
Planned Maintenance
Other related duties

Requirements

Matric N4 N6 in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related
Millwright Trade Test/Red Seal Skills
3-5 years Post Trade Test Experience
Experience in Food Manufacturing/FMCG is essential
Knowledge of Refrigeration equipment is advantageous
