Job Summary

Front Desk: Ensure all bookings are prepared prior to check ins. Introduce and maintain the most efficient check-in/out procedures on Opera & WhatsApp. Ensure that all reservations are taken correctly and courteously. Ensure guests are greeted, and checked in to allocated rooms promptly and courteously via WhatsApp Ensure credit control procedures are strictly adhered to Ensure that the accounts are balanced daily Manage the arrival and departures for the day Ensure that inspection is conducted prior to the arrivals of guests Ensure that exit inspections are done per department Place keys in key boxes with membership cards Communication: To ensure effective liaison between reservations and front office staff with other departments Ensure accurate and timeous submission of all reports and administrative work To attend all management meetings as required Guest Relations Readily available at all times to deal with problems or complaints in person and on WhatsApp Tend to and arrange for guest needs Monitor trends within the industry and make suggestions on how these could be implemented HR: Participate in progressive discipline To be familiar with all local OHASA measurements To carry out or ensure that regular On-the-Job training is taking place to agreed standards Ensure dress code of staff is up to standard Garden and Plants: Attending to the plants of the property. Ensuring that the plants are in good health and watered adequately. Mow the grass and de-weed the garden if necessary. Security: Conduct a security walk around of the entire property To ensure lockdown is actioned accordingly Complete incident reports for guests and staff MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: QUALIFICATION: Grade 12 Hospitality qualification (advantageous) Opera (advantageous) EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in the same or similar position Familiar with duties and procedures in the self-catering department or Airbnb COMPETENCIES: Communication : Comprehension Cognition/Thinking : Problem Solving, time-management, multitask Interaction with Others : Teamwork, delegation Personal Effectiveness : Adaptability and Dependability Attention to Detail/Quality Results Focus and Initiative Self-Management Interpersonal skills Thank you for applying with RAREcruit Follow us on social media for the latest jobs, trends and market insight: Website:
