The main purpose of the role: 
 
The Environmental Assessment Practitioner (EAP) will be responsible for the end-to-end 
management and delivery of a full Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for a large-scale hydrogen processing plant, in accordance with South African environmental legislation and applicable international best practice. 
 
The role requires a registered and experienced EAP with demonstrable experience in 
complex industrial, energy or hydrogen-related projects, including stakeholder engagement, specialist coordination, and regulatory approvals through to Environmental Authorisation (EA).

Requirements: 

• BSc / BTech /Honours/ Master’s degree in: 

• Environmental Science 

• Environmental Management 

• Environmental Engineering 

• Natural Sciences or related field 

• Registered Environmental Assessment Practitioner (EAP)with a recognised 

professional body (e.g. EAPASA or equivalent) 

• 8–10+ years’ experienceas a practicing EAP 
• Proven experience delivering fullEIAs (Scoping + EIAR + EMPr) for: 

• Industrial plants 

• Energy infrastructure (renewables, fuels, gas, hydrogen, petrochemical or heavy industry) 

• Demonstratedsuccess in securing Environmental Authorisations for complex 

projects 

• Experience withhydrogen, gas, chemical, or hazardous industrial facilitiesstrongly preferred
