About the Role
Sagen Advisory Recruitment Company is recruiting on behalf of a client for an experienced Finance Administrator to join their team in Bellville, Cape Town. The successful candidate will play a critical role in bridging the gap between operational logistics and financial record-keeping.
Key Responsibilities
- POD & Documentation Control: Accurately verify, record, and scan Proof of Delivery (POD) documents for internal fleets and external couriers. Investigate and resolve missing documentation to ensure billing cycles are not delayed.
- Creditors Management: Process supplier invoices, perform monthly reconciliations, and manage payment schedules to ensure all accounts remain in good standing.
- Debtors & Credit Control: Issue accurate invoices to customers, follow up on outstanding payments, and professionally negotiate payment plans when necessary.
- Financial Reporting: Maintain impeccable records of all financial transactions; reconcile accounts and assist in the preparation of cash flow and balance reports.
- Front-of-House & Liaison: Provide professional reception support and act as a key point of contact for drivers, couriers, and suppliers regarding account and delivery queries.
- Compliance & Problem Solving: Identify and resolve discrepancies in invoicing or delivery data while ensuring all tasks comply with company policies and industry regulations.
Requirements
- Strong administrative and support skills
- Prior experience in finance or bookkeeping
- A disciplined, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a structured environment
Qualifications
- Minimum of 35 years of experience in a Finance or Administrative role specifically within the Transport and Logistics industry
- Proven experience in managing the POD (Proof of Delivery) process
- Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Experience with Datatim software is highly advantageous
Salary & Benefits
R15 000 – R20 000 Cost to Company (CTC) per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
