Job Description

Hire Resolve is excited to announce an opening for the position of Head of Business Development at our client’s company in Cape Town. As the Head of Business Development, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth and success of Hire Resolve. You will be responsible for developing and implementing business development strategies, identifying new opportunities for growth, and building strong relationships with clients and partners.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute demand creation strategies and new product/service offerings to improve revenue and address market needs.
  • Establish business development strategies that align with the overall organisational objectives.
  • Conduct financial modeling of new business opportunities and drive cost-benefit analysis for potential ventures.
  • Oversee the department’s financial budgeting process to secure necessary funds for activities.
  • Build and nurture partnerships with internal stakeholders and external industry players to identify and leverage new business opportunities.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, buyers, and sellers to assess market demand and enhance service offerings.
  • Lead local or regional team discussions and projects focused on business development and market entry.
  • Guide the development of new business ventures based on network feedback and economic trends.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve business processes and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Finance, or a related field; a Masters degree is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in construction contracts and business development.
  • Proven track record of sales and business development success.
  • Project Management experience is advantageous.
  • Strong multi-tasking and organisational skills with the ability to plan resources and schedule programs effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Self-motivated, energetic team player with a flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Strong communicator and motivator with the ability to engage across all organisational levels.
  • Dependable, mature, and solution-focused with a professional appearance.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure environments with minimal supervision.
