About the Role
Our client, a well-established consulting engineering firm, has a vacancy in their Cape Town office for an Electrical Design Engineer/Technologist specializing in Building Services. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrical professional with 5 years’ postgraduate experience to join a dynamic design team working on diverse building projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Lead Engineer and electrical design teams
- Manage building services projects from inception through to handover
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of projects
Requirements
- Electrical Engineering qualifications (B.Eng / B.Sc Eng / BTech)
- 5 years’ post-graduation experience
- Fluency in both English and Afrikaans (essential)
- ECSA Registered or working towards registration
- Building services electrical design experience
- Types of projects worked on (commercial, residential, industrial, institutional)
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical or similar)
- Experience with DIALux or similar lighting design software
- Valid drivers license
- Own reliable transport
