About the Role

The POD (Proof of Delivery) Clerk plays a critical role in maintaining operational efficiency, supporting drivers, and providing accurate records for both internal teams and clients. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication to ensure seamless delivery operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, scan, file, and process POD documents from various delivery channels.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of delivery documentation.
  • Track and trace deliveries to ensure alignment between physical documents and system records.
  • Liaise with drivers, clients, and internal teams to resolve missing or incorrect documentation.
  • Maintain organized records and ensure timely updating of courier management systems (e.g., Parcel Perfect).
  • Identify discrepancies and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Support operational teams in meeting delivery schedules and compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum Qualification: High school diploma or equivalent (Matric).
  • Experience: Prior experience in an administrative or clerical role, preferably within the courier or logistics industry.
  • Core Skills & Competencies:
  • Attention to Detail: Strong ability to verify documentation accuracy and detect errors.
  • Organizational & Time Management: Skilled in managing high volumes of paperwork, meeting deadlines, and tracking deliveries efficiently.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with courier management software such as Parcel Perfect.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication to interact with drivers, clients, and internal teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to investigate and resolve issues with missing or inaccurate delivery information.
