About the Role
The Iconic Hotel, part of an international group based in Cape Town, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced F&B Duty Manager to ensure the smooth operation of our Front of House and Food & Beverage departments. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, managing day-to-day operations, and driving business growth through revenue management techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Scheduling of associates and allocation of duties to maximize associate productivity and minimize payroll costs
- Developing systems and procedures to achieve higher cost efficiency and guest satisfaction
- Maintaining the logbook and effective follow-up system, checking daily arrival lists, and monitoring VIP movements
- Supervising room allocations, smooth check-in & check-out, and special requirements of guests
- Coordinating with departments to ensure security, hygiene, and aesthetic standards are met
- Actively promoting F&B restaurants to resident guests and assisting restaurant managers with queries
- Monitoring daily performance and managing revenue through revenue and yield management techniques
- Maintaining the Guest History Tracking System and updating guest profiles
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Formal hospitality qualification
- At least 3-4 years’ experience in a similar position at a large, high-end hotel
