About the Role
Hospitality Hire is recruiting on behalf of our client, a busy hotel in Cape Town, to fill a key leadership position. Every great guest experience begins with a warm welcome, an effortless check-in, and genuine attention to detail. We’re seeking an experienced Reception Supervisor / Shift Leader who understands that the front desk sets the tone for every stay and who leads with professionalism, warmth, and confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the Front Office team to deliver seamless, welcoming service from check-in to check-out
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring guest flow, room allocations, and lobby presentation meet high standards
- Handle guest queries and resolve issues promptly and professionally
- Mentor, coach, and motivate team members to uphold consistent service excellence
- Collaborate with Housekeeping, Concierge, and Reservations to ensure smooth daily operations
- Maintain exceptional presentation, service, and hospitality standards in all front office areas
Requirements
- South African ID
- Matric certificate (Grade 12)
- Hospitality qualification advantageous
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Front Office Supervisor, Duty Manager, or Reception Shift Leader within a 4- or 5-star hotel
- Strong OPERA PMS proficiency (essential)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills
