About the Role
RPO Recruitment’s client, a reputable and established building contractor in Cape Town, is seeking a proactive and hardworking Junior Building Foreman to join their team and assist in overseeing site operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising daily construction activities on site, managing site teams, subcontractors, and labourers, while ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and in accordance with quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities on site.
- Assist in managing site teams, subcontractors, and labourers.
- Ensure work is completed safely, on time, and in accordance with quality standards.
- Monitor site progress and report to senior foremen or project managers.
- Assist with material management, equipment allocation, and site documentation.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Requirements
- Matric certificate (NQF Level 4) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in the construction industry.
- Experience in residential or commercial building projects is preferred.
- Basic understanding of construction methods, tools, and materials.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
