About the Role
As a Restaurant General Manager at NLP, you will oversee all aspects of our Cape Town region restaurant, driving operational excellence and financial performance while fostering a high-performance team culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations, maintain high service standards, and handle guest complaints proactively.
- Manage P&L, set financial goals, control food and labor costs, and implement strategies for profitability.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and schedule employees to foster a high-performance team culture.
- Enforce health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards.
- Coordinate promotional activities, manage vendor relationships, and oversee inventory and ordering.
- Oversee events and functions alongside the Events Manager.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Restaurant General Manager Role for a minimum of 4 years
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams
- Excellent interpersonal skills for dealing with staff and guests
- Strong Front and back of house management skills
Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in restaurant management
- 4 years in a senior role as GM
- Experience in food production, beverages, and inventory management
