About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Teacher’s Assistant to join our luxury safari lodge team in Kruger National Park. As a key member of our educational support team, you will work closely with our resident teacher to deliver daily educational activities for children residing at the lodge. This unique role offers a chance to live and work in a remote and beautiful setting while making a positive impact on the lives of young learners.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the teacher with daily classroom activities and lesson preparation
- Support children with their learning and educational tasks
- Help supervise students during lessons, activities, and break periods
- Prepare and organise classroom materials and resources
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised learning environment
- Provide individual support to children where required
- Assist with educational activities, projects, and creative learning exercises
- Support outdoor and nature-based learning opportunities where appropriate
Requirements
Previous experience working with children in a school, childcare, or educational support role. A passion for working with children and supporting their development. Patient, caring, and supportive nature. Strong communication and organisational skills. Ability to work in a remote lodge environment.
Qualifications
First Aid certification advantageous.
