This is not a traditional collections role; we are looking for an individual who balances human insight with automation to drive relentless improvement for our clients. Key Responsibilities Operational Excellence: Support Credit Risk Advisors and guide the team to improve customer cash flow and minimize risk through proactive debt recovery. Strategic Recovery: Utilize a variety of creative approaches to recover outstanding debt while ensuring constant, real-time communication with customers and stakeholders. Legal & Insurance Management: Manage legal files, attend business rescue and liquidation meetings, and oversee credit insurance processes, including claim lodgments and compliance with insurer deadlines. Risk Assessment: Evaluate debtor financial statements, identify strengths or weaknesses in paperwork, and conduct risk assessment visits to assess recovery viability. Stakeholder Engagement: Build collaborative relationships with attorneys, liquidators, and internal teams to ensure high levels of client satisfaction. Minimum Requirements Experience: * 3 to 5 years experience in Debt Collection or Credit Control . 2 to 3 years experience with Credit Insurance Experience in a legal firm is considered a significant advantage. Education: An NQF qualification, diploma, or degree is an advantage. Technical Skills: * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Basic understanding of accounting principles and annual financial statements. Knowledge of the legal processes regarding liquidations and business rescue.
