About the Role
As a Reservations Consultant at Craven Cottage CC, you will be responsible for making reservations for groups and preparing rate proposals while ensuring accurate records of guest bookings, payments, and additional information. You will also be the face of our reservations department, handling phone calls, up-selling special packages, and resolving guest complaints.
Key Responsibilities
- Making reservations for the group and preparing rate proposals
- Ensuring accurate records about guests’ bookings, payments, and any additional information that team members might need when interacting with a guest
- Answering reservations calls
- Up-selling by informing guests of special packages or higher room category
- Assisting & maintaining an efficient administration system within the department
- Ensuring all quotations are followed up
- Managing room blocks and all sizes of group bookings
- Actively endeavouring to seek and resolve guest complaints
- Informing other departments and following up with regards to special instructions / facilities
- Establishing and quoting rates within the limits of the authorized rates negotiation procedure
- Assisting with the booking of transfers, and other outlet requests and reservations such as dinners by communicating with necessary departments
- Reporting any rate, system discrepancy to the Reservations Manager and all overbookings
- Sending of invoices, credit card payment links, following up on payments and ensuring all payments are accurately posted against each booking
- Making sure all internal worksheets are actioned and updated daily
- Ensuring accurate and detailed capturing of bookings
- Managing any guest feedback to necessary department
- Ensuring that all reservations (telephonic, e-mail and online) are processed correctly and as per standard
- Ensuring reservations vouchers have been recorded and allocated correctly
Requirements
- Matric
- A formal qualification
- At least 4 years central reservations experience
- Previous Hospitality experience is required
- PMS systems experience
- Quality focussed
- Great communication skills, written and verbal
- Energetic and friendly personality
- A positive and professional attitude
