Principal SAPUI5 Developer (OData)
Location: Cape Town (Onsite Preferred)Experience: 8+ Years SAP Development

We are looking for a Principal SAPUI5 Developer to play a key role in designing and delivering high-quality SAP UI5, Fiori, and OData solutions within a sophisticated SAP S/4HANA environment.

Requirements
What Youll Be Doing
As a Principal SAPUI5 Developer, you will be responsible for designing and delivering robust SAP UI5 and OData solutions while collaborating with architects, security teams, and project stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:

Analysing business requirements and translating them into SAP UI5 / ABAP technical solutions

Designing and developing SAPUI5 and Fiori applications

Building and exposing OData services for SAP applications
-
Enhancing standard SAP applications based on business needs

Developing mobile and e-Service solutions for modern SAP platforms
-
Creating technical specifications and documentation
-
Developing interfaces between SAP S/4HANA and external systems using BAPIs, web services, PI proxies, or SOA tools

Configuring and managing SAP Fiori Launchpad

Performing testing, debugging, and deployment across the SAP landscape

Working closely with Enterprise Architects, Security Specialists, and Delivery Teams

Supporting secure authentication frameworks such as SSO and SSL
-
Contributing to solution design, architecture discussions, and knowledge transfer

8+ years of SAP Development experience

Strong hands-on experience with SAPUI5 development

Solid expertise in OData services

Experience with SAP S/4HANA

Proficiency in ABAP (full stack development)

Experience developing SAP Fiori applications

Experience working with SAP Gateway and OData services

Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills

SAP Developer Certification
