Job Description
Holistic Energy Solutions is seeking a skilled and experienced Solar Electrical Project Engineer to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing solar energy projects aimed at providing sustainable energy solutions to our clients. The Solar Electrical Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from initial feasibility and design through to installation and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
– Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to determine the viability of solar energy projects
– Design electrical systems for solar energy projects, including PV arrays, inverters, and balance of system components
– Develop detailed project plans and schedules, and monitor progress to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
– Work closely with clients, contractors, and suppliers to coordinate project activities and ensure successful project delivery
– Conduct quality inspections and performance testing on installed solar energy systems
– Provide technical support and expertise to clients and internal teams
– Stay up-to-date on industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to solar energy projects
Qualifications and Experience:
– BSc degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
– Minimum of 3 years of experience in solar energy project engineering or related field
– Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD and PVsyst
– Knowledge of electrical codes and standards related to solar energy systems
– Strong project management skills and ability to multitask
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Valid driver’s license
