About the Role
Esteem Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vehicle Inspector to join our team in Cape Town. As a Vehicle Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring vehicles are properly maintained, inspected, and ready for use each day. You will work closely with drivers, manage insurance claims, and perform various tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our vehicle fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure vehicles are cleaned, refueled, and ready for use each day.
- Monitor and report any vehicle damages using tools like Record 360.
- Issue and manage insurance claims by collecting necessary paperwork from drivers.
- Prepare vehicles for scheduled maintenance and check for service warnings.
- Validate mileage and inspect dashboards for warning lights.
- Ensure vehicles are equipped with tools and spare wheels.
- Respond to vehicle-related issues raised by drivers.
- Report non-compliance or wear-and-tear issues (e.g., worn tyres) to management.
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric Certificate or equivalent with at least 1 year working experience.
- Valid South African ID and valid driver’s license.
- Basic understanding of vehicles and their components.
- Good communication skills in English, with strong administrative ability and the ability to read and follow checklists and procedures accurately.
- Physically fit and able to work on your feet throughout the day.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 / Matric Certificate or equivalent
