About the Role
Join our esteemed clients in the east of Johannesburg as an Automation Engineer, pushing the boundaries of technology and making a real impact on their valued customers’ operations. As a key member of our organization, you’ll design, program, and test cutting-edge automated equipment and processes, collaborating with talented professionals who share your passion for excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, program, and test cutting-edge automated equipment and processes
- Program and debug PLCs, RAPIDs, and Prepmasters
- Develop HMI applications
- Provide exceptional troubleshooting support
- Collaborate on creative solutions and contribute ideas
Requirements
- A degree in Electrical/Control System Engineering or a related scientific discipline in electronics or mechatronics
- Experience in automation engineering is a must
- Expertise with PLCs, variable speed drives, barcode scanners, safety devices, robotics (such as ABB, Mitsubishi, and Epson), and SCADA systems (Siemens WINCC preferred)
- Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and software domains
Qualifications
A degree in Electrical/Control System Engineering or a related scientific discipline in electronics or mechatronics.
