About the Role

The Junior QC Manager will be responsible for overseeing routine testing and analysis for the laboratory, including standard 18F synthesis and other tracers, while adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), European Union (EU) and United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) standards. This role involves managing raw material sampling, testing, and release systems, as well as performing first-line maintenance of Quality Control equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage routine testing and analysis for the laboratory
Produce standard 18F synthesis and other tracers in accordance with GMP and relevant pharmacopoeia standards
Ensure efficient performance of Quality Control equipment, including HPLC, Gas Chromatography, pH measurement, RTLC, and Gamma Spectrometer
Maintain records of faults, maintenance, and calibration for any dysfunction or operation of equipment
Develop, implement, and manage cGMP, Quality Control, and Quality Assurance systems and procedures for standard tracers
Manage QC raw material and consumables, formulate reagents for radiochemistry, and mix solvents for HPLC and other analyses
Clean glassware and dispose of waste chemicals and materials
Prepare updated Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as necessary
Provide training and support for others in undertaking routine QC operations
Maintain understanding of best practice and changes in requirements for QC analytical testing
Undertake training as a Radiation Protection Officer (RPO) to safely manufacture radiopharmaceuticals and dispose of radioactive waste

Requirements

Quality control experience required (4 – 5 years)
Managerial experience will be advantageous
Working effectively with members of the team

Able to work independently and effectively by completing tasks in a timely manner
