About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Finance Assistant to join our dynamic team in Centurion. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining financial integrity and supporting day-to-day transactional processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build on their accounting foundation and gain valuable exposure in the hospitality and property sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and timeously
- Capture and reconcile financial data within accounting systems
- Prepare bank reconciliations and assist with monitoring cash flow
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Assist in compiling financial reports and management accounts
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls
- Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers on finance queries
- Support audit processes by providing required documentation
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3–5 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role
- Exposure to hospitality, property, or real estate sectors is advantageous
- Proven experience with QuickBooks or Sage accounting software
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles
