About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Lodge Manager to join our ultra-luxury safari camp in Kenya. This is a pivotal leadership role within a high-end safari environment, requiring a well-rounded hospitality professional to oversee all operational aspects of the lodge while ensuring the consistent delivery of exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the highest standards across all departments
- Drive operational efficiency
- Ensure service delivery aligns with the expectations of a discerning international clientele
- Take ownership of team performance, guest satisfaction and overall operational flow
- Work closely with senior leadership to ensure cohesive departmental operations
- Balance strategic oversight with hands-on involvement in daily operations
- Create a positive team culture
- Manage both guest engagement and back-of-house functions
Requirements
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management or a related field
- Minimum 5 to 7 years’ experience in a senior lodge management role within a luxury safari environment
- Proven ability to manage full lodge operations across front of house, housekeeping, Food & Beverage, guiding and maintenance
- Solid financial understanding including budgeting, stock control and cost management
