Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate QC inspectors and technicians
- Conduct inspections on mining equipment, components, and assemblies
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, procedures, and safety regulations
- Review and approve inspection reports and documentation
- Identify defects, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve quality processes
- Maintain calibration and testing equipment
- Prepare quality reports and present findings to management
Minimum Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management, or related field
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in quality control within mining or heavy equipment industry
- At least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of QC systems, inspection methods, and ISO standards
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and quality reporting tools
