About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Intern to join our team in Umhlanga. As a key member of our marketing department, you will be responsible for identifying and quantifying marketing opportunities, developing and executing marketing mixes, and analyzing data to inform brand development.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and quantify marketing opportunities in categories in which we operate
- Help develop fantastic marketing mixes to maximise these opportunities
- Implement and execute the marketing mix to store-level
- Monitor and assess the commercial success of the mix in the marketplace
- Look for gaps in the market to exploit and grow
- Analyse and interpret data to provide recommendations for brand development
- Work with Research and development team to convert innovation ideas into products
- Work with cross-functional teams to execute projects within assigned timelines and budgets
- Collaborate closely with the Design team on artwork execution
- Put together advertising and creative briefs
- Conduct copywriting for marketing literature
- Closely work with the digital team on campaigns and projects
Requirements
- Matric with pass in Maths Core
- Preferred Marketing Degree or Honours degree (including Finance/Business Science grads)
- IMM Diploma
- One to two years of work experience is preferred
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable working with numbers and creative artwork
- Computer and Excel skills
- Great team working skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and spoken word)
- Excellent organizational skills
- Own reliable transport
