About the Role
The Centurion: Warehouse Buyer (Junior) is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team at Techbridge Recruitment. As a Junior Buyer, you will play a critical role in balancing cost, quality, and availability, directly impacting warehouse efficiency and overall supply chain performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality and reliability
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to optimise cost
- Manage purchase orders from creation through to delivery
- Monitor stock levels and ensure optimal inventory availability
- Support demand planning to prevent stock shortages or overstocking
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and performance tracking
- Ensure purchased goods meet required quality standards
- Analyse purchasing trends and identify cost-saving opportunities
Requirements
- Matric (essential)
- Relevant qualification in Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics or Business Administration (advantageous)
- Previous experience in procurement or buying within a warehouse or supply chain environment
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
