About the Role

Network Finance is seeking a highly skilled Data Specialist (Engineer/Scientist) to join our team in the Western Cape region. As a key member of our data infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing modern data solutions that drive business insights, performance, and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and optimise data warehouse solutions to support reporting and analytics
  • Develop and maintain efficient data pipelines to ingest and transform data from multiple sources
  • Ensure high levels of data quality, consistency, and accessibility across platforms
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of data architecture in line with business growth
  • Partner with business units to understand data requirements and translate them into actionable solutions
  • Create intuitive dashboards and visualisations to support decision-making
  • Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to improve data processes, accuracy, and efficiency
  • Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to support evolving needs
  • Collaborate with leadership to scale and future-proof data capabilities
  • Maintain and monitor data systems to ensure reliability and performance
  • Oversee API integrations, ensuring stability and adherence to best practices
  • Implement strong data governance, security, and compliance standards

Requirements

  • Education: Minimum qualification: Degree in Mathematics, Data Engineering, Data Analytics or a related discipline
  • Experience: 5+ years’ experience within data science/engineering or a similar role (e.g. BI Scientist and Data Engineer)
