About the Role
G-Core Capital is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our team in Durban. As a key member of our finance function, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, managing cash flow, and providing strategic financial insights to support business growth. With a strong technical background in IFRS and South African tax legislation, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, the Companies Act, and other statutory requirements.
- Maintain the accuracy of the general ledger, fixed asset register, and reconciliations.
- Contribute to board packs and management presentations by providing financial schedules and variance analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance with Honours and articles (or equivalent professional qualification)
- Minimum 3–5 years’ relevant experience in financial accounting
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and South African tax legislation
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., JDE, SAP) and advanced Excel skills
Qualifications
- Completed Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance with Honours and articles
- Professional qualification (CA(SA), CIMA, or equivalent)
