General Worker – Contractor
Location: Durban, KwaZulu Natal- Westville
Industry: Logistics, Warehouse & Freight, FMCG
Job Summary:
As a General Worker reporting to the Operations team, you will be responsible for various warehouse tasks to ensure efficient stock handling and movement. Your duties will include loading and unloading stock, storing goods, preparing orders for dispatch, conducting stock counts, and maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Load and unload stock from trucks and containers.
- Receive, sort, and store goods in designated warehouse locations.
- Assist with picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch.
- Label, wrap, and palletize products as required.
- Conduct stock handling and movement activities safely.
- Assist with stock counts and inventory control processes.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Report damaged stock, equipment faults, and safety concerns.
- Follow company policies, warehouse procedures, and health and safety regulations.
- Assist supervisors and warehouse staff with general operational tasks.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience
- Clean criminal record.
- Good communication skills.
