Job Summary
Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the full payroll function across multiple business units, ensuring timely and accurate processing for a workforce of 1000 employees. Ensure full compliance with all statutory requirements, including PAYE, UIF, SDL, and other relevant regulations. Maintain and update payroll policies, ensuring alignment with labor laws and company standards. Manage payroll reconciliations, audits, and reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including finance, HR, auditors, and tax authorities. Implement and optimize payroll systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. Handle complex payroll calculations, deductions, and benefits administration. Provide payroll-related data analysis and reports to senior management. Stay updated on changes in labor laws, tax regulations, and payroll best practices. Lead and mentor payroll team members, ensuring a high-performance payroll function. Key
Requirements:
Education: Degree or Diploma in Payroll Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Experience: 8 to 10 years of payroll management experience, with at least 2 to 5 years in a leadership role as a Payroll Manager. Industry Exposure: Strong background in FMCG or manufacturing environments, managing payroll at a group level. Technical Skills: Proficiency in payroll systems and software (e.g., SAP, SAGE, VIP, or similar). Strong numerical and analytical skills to handle complex calculations and reporting. Excellent knowledge of South African tax laws, labor legislation, and payroll compliance requirements. Soft Skills: Strong leadership and people management skills. Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy. Hands-on, proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Why Join Us?
